Previously, relief was limited to properties below ₹10 lakh—capping benefits at ₹10,000. Now, middle-class women will gain greater access to property ownership, financial confidence, and social status.
Beyond the stamp duty change, the Cabinet approved 37 proposals, including:
₹6,935.86 crore polytechnic upgrade (45 institutes, via Tata Technologies) to boost technical education
₹939.67 crore Chitrakoot Link Expressway (15.17 km, expandable to six lanes) for regional connectivity
₹2,000 crore tablet distribution under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana for digital literacy
Key industrial initiatives include:
10 hectares land lease to DRDO’s IRDE at Re 1/year for an infrared detector centre, expected to generate 150 direct and 500 indirect jobs
4.62 hectares at Noida’s Parag Dairy to RAPHE mPhibr for UAV technology expansion, bolstering defense and local employment
This measure aligns with the Centre’s 2024 Budget proposal to ease stamp duty for women.
